As a writer I can tell you that there is no “easy’ way to get published, there are ways but they are tough to master. So if you are a writer reading this article looking for a quick fix, I am sorry to disappoint you.
For beginners:
If you are just starting out as a writer, try e-zines like EzineArticles, websites like Qwickly who pay you based on Google AdSense revenue. They have comparatively lower entry requirements, but you still need to write well with correct grammar, spelling, sentence structure etc.
After you gain confidence and readership, you can move over to next level.
For mid-level writers
This is the next level for beginners who have polished their writing and have established readership. Here you can work on creating a niche for your self and get name recognition. Sites like Associated Content, Helium, American Chronicle etc can help you . Associated Content and Helium pay the writers but American Chronicle does not.
After you are firmly established at mid level you can get an agent to help you get book contracts or send manuscripts to publishers if you want to venture into writing book, if you are interested in writing for big name publications like magazines, national newspapers, then send them your published clips and query with your ideas. However, remember that getting an agent helps but does not guarantee success or acceptance by publishers.
After mid level it is into the published author arena, so work hard to polish your writing, networking, make contacts and court your readers.
