When trying to promote your website, it is sometimes a very easy thing to do and sometimes it isn’t. I understand how frustrating it can be to promote your website especially when you feel like you have already done so much in order to get it ranked in the search engines.

Here I will give away my secrets on how I was able to get traffic to my website within days and also got it ranked on the #1 page on Google.

Here Are the 5 Traffic Generation Techniques:

#1 Social Bookmarking:

I love Social Bookmarking! It doesn’t take more than a minute to do and it will create back links for you to your website and generate traffic as well. Social Bookmarking Sites will allow you to add your favorite websites to a list in your account that way people can check out what you have and maybe add them to their list’s to.

A Website I use is Del.icio.us

#2 Ping Your Social Bookmarks:

Usually this technique is only done with blogs, but in order to get a fast boost on your traffic, I tend to ping my social bookmarking profile site at Pingomatic This will create even more back links for you.

#3 Write A Press Release:

Write a press release to promote the website you have created. Write about what your website has to offer and whatever other information your website does. There is tons of Free Press Release submission sites for you to use. Just do a search in Google for Free Press Release Submission.

#4 Write Articles:

Write an article that explains the subject areas about your website. This is a good way to get back links because people will pick up your articles if they are worthy of information and put them on their websites which will have your links still in it. So more Traffic!

#5 Create a Blog:

I’m sure you have heard this from time to time again, but it is really amazing how much traffic a blog can create for you. If you create a blog around your niche and keep updating it with information, you will get picked up by search engines. I’m not saying you have to write in it everyday, maybe like 2-3 times a week. Make sure to put your links back to your website in your blog.
