7 Ways To Social Media

If you have ever searched for a product or service and ended up on a MySpace or Facebook page, you experienced the power of productive social media. Social media also includes MMORPGs and social games like Second Life and Wikis. If you are looking for ways to use social media, here are 7 to get you started.
1. Using Wikis
Posting to Wikipedia is one way to establish expertise in a certain field. There are lots of other wikis out there as well. Make sure you follow the rules of each wiki, and post sources whenever possible.
2. Friends and Contacts
When using productive social media like Facebook or MySpace, make sure you post a site with clear content and that you’re picky about your friends.
3. MMORPGs
Massice Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Games offer wonderful opportunities to connect with people all over the world. Remember, however, to make sure that promoting your business or organization is acceptable to their rules.
4. Another Life
Social games lie Second Life and Sims Online also offer great opportunities to become known. Many people participate in these games and there are groups and organizations within them that might match up with your business.
5. Blogs and Forums
Again making sure you aren’t violating rules, blog pages and online forums can be wonderful productive social media sites. Always keep in contact with people who respond to your posts, and guide them to your website.
6. Media Sites
Another wonderful way to productive social media is media sharing. YouTube is one such site, and is great for those who are involved in media as a business.
7. Participation
Once you have established yourself in productive social media, keep at it. Don’t just become popular and disappear.
