What exactly is a GTP (get to paid) survey site? Why are they willing to pay you to take surveys?
A GTP site is a site providing various surveys and you get paid for each survey you take. The reason you get paid is because the information you supply helps them to improve their business models and methods. You are in essence, helping these companies make more money to better serve their customers. So the bottom line is everybody wins.
There are a lot of GTP (get paid to survey) sites on the internet. Quite a few of them are scams and are a total waste of time offering only bonus points, prizes, paid vacations, and so on. There are, however a few companies that are legit and hopefully I can point you in the right direction to find and make use of them.
The truth is that you are not going to get rich taking surveys, but you can make some extra money if you’re willing to spend the time and effort to do so. Like any endeavor you embrace it takes hard work, and effort to make money. A lot of the GTP (get to paid) survey sites offer decent referral programs that you can promote that will enable you to make even more money.
It is not hard to find legitimate survey sites. A good place to start would be the internet marketing forums. The Warrior Forum is an excellent source. There you will find an abundance of information regarding internet marketing issues in general and more specific information on GTP surveys. Another source of information is articles which you can find at different article directories such as Ezine articles or GoArticles. Both of these directories are a great source of information not only on internet marketing issues but any subject you might have interest in. Another good source is reading blogs and blog comments. Doing this you not only get the blog authors opinion but you get his readers opinion as well

Never pay to join. All the good sites are free
Make sure customer support available and is easy to access
Check out the payout for each survey. They all vary
Check out the referral programs that are offered as each site will vary
